Our unique curved converters can be designed and configured to compensate for system field curvature by introducing a matching but opposite curvature in the array itself.

Curved arrays are similar to spot to line converters, however these assemblies have fibers arranged in a curved slit. This offers an improved coupling solution for spectral imaging systems with significant field curvature (also called “smile”). This results in a slight curving of the spectral traces and reduces the resolution and the signal to noise ratio of such systems.
